text and photos by Sandro Pintus The Mercedes has chosen Tuscany There is no doubt about it, the Tuscan landscape is fascinating and this fascination has come through again, thanks to its incredible beauty. Its gently delicate flowering hills, the cypresses that lend added magic to the landscape, the colour of the sky and the fascination of its ancient farm houses, impress all who see it. However Nature and Art go arm in arm in Tuscany, therefore Florence and the villages of the Chianti, places that gladden the eyes and the hearts of those who see their houses, palaces, streets, squares and monuments, could not be ignored. In fact two models of Mercedes dating from the Sixties were hosted in the garden of Palazzo Budini-Gattai and have been left there on display as classical objects.
In fact the famous German car manufacturers created an itinerary between Florence and the Chianti so that all the journalists invited to the kermess could try out its latest creation.
