The 1.700 paintings (circa) that form the Florentine collections and are
exhibited in the 45 rooms of the Gallery and in the Vasari
Corridor, are arranged according to schools and in chronological order
so as to create a didactic itinerary that follows the history of European
painting. Here we will only mention the most important paintings in each
room (measurements are in centimetres, height by width) with notes on
their provenance and the date of their definite entry in the Uffizi
	    Gallery.
