Crafts in the Palace
The 4th Edition of Crafts and the Palace will be held on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of June in the Lemonaries and Gardens of Palazzo Corsini sul Prato in Florence.The area of the splendid Monumental Garden will thus be transformed into a huge "Workshop en plein air", where 60 of the finest craftsmen in Italy (as well as several from abroad) have been selected to present their products; the public will get the chance to watch various demonstrations, admire samples and take part in informative "stages".
Guided visits around the garden of Palazzo Corsini are being organized again this year as well as the afternoon theatrical performances beneath the Loggia.
One of the novelties will be the introduction of two competitions: the Cassa di Risparmio of Florence will be offering a prize to the exhibitor given the highest vote of appreciation by the public, while a separate award will be given to the most "interesting" exhibit which will be selected by a special panel of judges. A rare chance to visit a wonderful "historic" garden as well as discover craftsmanship that deserves to be preserved and promoted.
