The villa, built in the 15th century, changed hands several times before being bought by the Princes Corsini in 1697, it was owned by Cosimo dei Medici, too. It is one of the few examples of Florentine Baroque architecture, with a splendid facade decorated with geometrical motifs, spirals and shells.
